Frankly, I think the man makes the clothes. I'll elaborate. An outfit on one person looks good but looks horrible on someone else. It's not the outfit's fault so I can't see how clothes make a person look bad. It's the person inside the clothes that's making the clothes look bad, to be blunt.
I've had kids. I have a roll of skin from my stomach being stretched that I just can't get rid of. I know that if I put on a pair of painted on skinny jeans two sizes too small, that I will look positively horrid in them. It's not the clothes' fault. If that's even grammatically correct. The tight fit is just no longer compatible with my body. Back when I had abs now....
I could never treat a pair of jeans so harshly.
There are also those folks who can wear a paper bag with holes and make it look sexy. So, yea. I'll stick to this thought that it's the man that makes the clothes and not the other way around.
